Southampton Vineyard Church: Part of the Church in Southampton
"We believe that God has called us to nurture a passionate, worshipping family of believers, reaching out to a generation in need."

welcome

Thanks for stopping by our site.

Pull up a chair, make yourself comfy and read all about how we are learning to be church together. Of course reading a few notes is never really going to give you more than a first impression, so feel free to come along and meet us anytime, we will keep the coffee hot for you.

meetings

We have several housegroups, which meet on a Wednesday or Thursday evening. These groups are the most important meetings of the church.

We normally hold Sunday meetings every week at 10.30am at Bitterne Park Junior School, Manor Farm Road, Bitterne Park (view map). We have four separate kids work groups for children up to the age of 14, which run at the same time as the adults' meeting.

our story

If you want to know what has made us tick; the things we have wrestled with over recent years and why we do things the way that we do, we recommend getting a copy of this book.

It tells our story, our questions and our best guess at putting into practice what we have worked through.

I Still Have More Questions Than Answers by Matt Hyam published by Vineyard International publishing.

"If you are wondering what is going on with young Christian leaders and value honest reflection over 'spin' or self-promotion - euphemistically called 'marketing' - then "I still have more questions than answers" is spot on. Herein Matt candidly displays the scrapbook of his journey to follow Jesus and 'do church' in ways that make sense for current culture. It is an enjoyable and enlightening read."

Some of these have been foundational for us. All of them are worth working through (in our humble opinion!)
