SOngs from southampton vineyard
SOngs for jubilee 2009
We have been challenged over and over about the heart of our God for the poor and the oppressed and the marginalised. We wanted to reflect this in our songs. Unfortunately, there are very, very few songs that do. So we started writing songs again. The copyright for the songs belongs to Southampton Vineyard but please feel free to use them if you would like to.
These first two were written from lines that each housegroup sent in about how they feel that God feels about the poor:
The Time for Jubilee (listen) - © Nov 2008, Southamtpton Vineyard; written by the members of the church (words & chords)
Passion, Compassion (listen)- © Nov 2008, Southampton Vineyard; written by the members of the church (words & chords)
This song was written after hearing some stuff on the news that just broke my heart and made me want to cry out to Jesus to come back now and end this darkness!
Dreaming (listen) - © Oct 2008, Southampton Vineyard; written by Matt Hyam (words & chords)
Other songs
This song was written to try to reflect God's story and how we fit into it.
Maker (listen) - © May 2007, Southampton Vineyard; written by Matt Hyam (words & chords)
